Welcome to IDM City Campus #3 of the IDM Nations Campus, Sri Lanka.

IDM City Campus #3 is a leading higher education institution based in Colombo in assisting students in achieving their career aspirations in the field of ICT & Management. Presently City Campus #3 offers programmes starting from Foundations up to Bachelors in the respective fields. A significant feature of our programmes is we focus on bringing "Locally Accredited – Internationally Recognized" opportunities to students, giving them an opportunity both locally and internationally.

With our international affiliations we thrive to provide you the best qualifications to equip you with the demands of the corporate world. Presently with our affiliations in the UK & Canada, IDM City Campus #3 offers programmes leading to bachelors in ICT & Management. Also at IDM City Campus #3 with our offshore partners we provide the opportunity for the students to transfer their credits to the respective countries to complete the enrolled programmes.

IDM City Campus #3 – Down the History lane

IDM City Campus #3 started its journey as the 31st branch of the IDM Network, established in year 2005 as a registered institution with the Ministry of Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, Sri Lanka.

IDM Computer Studies Wellawatte (Pvt) Ltd could then upgrade to the IDM Affiliated University College, City Campus #3 status as a result of the in quality, dedicated and devoted services.

Initially started our operations as a higher education institution providing foundation programmes & vocational programmes, we gradually developed the faculty to deliver Higher Diploma Level qualifications. And in 2007 having started our sister company IDM Education Services, we then provided the opportunity for our students to transfer their credits to colleges & universities abroad to continue & complete their programmes in the choice of their own colleges & universities.

And in the year 2009 we graduated our self's as City Campus #3 and since, we provide programmes up to bachelors. Now our students are given the opportunity to experience a world class learning locally at our campus with the well experienced faculty & infrastructure facility.

Having started our vocational school at the inception itself in the 2005 City Campus #3 established its fully fledged vocational school supporting students studying in the areas of Software Engineering, Computer Networking & Multimedia to get the required knowledge & skills of the industry.

IDM City Campus #3 – Our Facilities

Student Library
Our Student Library is equipped with the necessary Text Books, CD's, magazines and other resource materials required for the students making this an excellent resource centre supporting their studies. Also the students are provided access to the online library to enhance their access to information. IDM City Campus #3 Library is setup to support tomorrow's corporate professional.

Student Study Area
A student study area is allocated to students with the FREE WiFi facility enabling them to engage in their studies freely at the campus premises. It's a common place where you'd find our students hanging out at the group work sessions.

ICT Infrastructure Facility
Students are given an extensive ICT infrastructure facility, with separate facilities setup for Software Engineering, Networking, and Multimedia students. Also there is a common ICT facility to be used by any of the campus students to get their work done. Also Campus operates a Free WiFi zone for our students enabling online access at all times to support their learning.

Our Lecture Rooms
With limited seating capacity of upto a maximum of 25 students per lecture room, our lecture rooms are Air Conditioned with Multimedia Projectors to give a great learning experience to the students. The lecture rooms are designed to provide maximum interaction between the lecturer and the students.

Student Counseling
Students counseling is a specialized division in our campus providing assistance to prospective students in selecting the right programme to achieve their career aspirations. The service is provided free to students.

Student Administration
Student Administration Division assists students in academic administration & monitoring of their programmes, in Assessments, Examinations, Projects, Certification and other related services. The staffs at the Student Administration are dedicated to provide the necessary support. Presently an online portal is also developed in assisting students in this area.

Placement Services Division – IDM Education Services
The division is setup in order to assist those students wishing to study abroad as a part of their programmes. Mostly students opt to transfer to the university/ college in the UK at the completion of their Higher Diploma Programmes to complete their final years. Also students whom have completed their bachelors, through this division gets good opportunities to follow their masters in the universities and colleges abroad. The division also assists outside students from the campus also to pursue their higher education in abroad.

Internships & Resource Centre
The division is setup with a vision to give hands on experience for the students in the areas they have studied. The students are placed for internships for the projects undertaken by the resource centre. The projects include software and networking projects in the field of ICT. Also the management students are given an opportunity to participate in Marketing Assignments, Research Projects and various other undertakings to enhance their career prospects.

Job Placement Division
The division has assisted many students in finding employment opportunities locally. Our aim is to develop the division as fully fledged career guidance & placement division to assist students in finding gainful employment locally and internationally.
